What materials are used to make the watch straps?

We also offer marine sailcloth and vintage canvas watch straps collections for a unique touch. All of our materials are of the highest quality and have been certified in the European Union (where applicable).

Can I choose the color and design of my watch strap?

At FinWatchStraps, we understand the importance of having a watch strap that perfectly reflects your personal style. That's why we offer the flexibility for you to choose the color and design of your custom-made watch strap.

You can select the color and design based on our sample product images. Our products are made to match the product images by default. However, if you would like to further customize your watch strap to fit a specific watch brand (such as Omega, Hublot, or Breitling) or to combine different leathers, we offer an absolutely unique custom watch strap service.

Please note that custom orders may vary in cost. Our team will work on your custom order individually and calculate the cost based on the complexity of your customization requests. We're dedicated to helping you create a one-of-a-kind watch strap that perfectly matches your personal style.

How do I determine the correct size for my watch strap?

Before placing your order, it's important to check the width of your watch's lugs. This will determine the width of the watch strap you need. If you prefer a tapered size, please note the first number indicated is the width at the watch lugs, and the second number indicated is the buckle width (e.g. 20x18 mm means the strap is 20mm at the lugs and 18mm at the buckle).

To ensure you receive the correct length for your wrist, please consult our length instructions under the product descriptions or send us a message with your wrist circumference and watch case lug size. We will then provide you with the most comfortable strap size for your watch.

How long does it take to receive my custom-made watch strap?

Our production times vary depending on the requested customizations for your watch strap. On average, order fulfillment takes 1-3 weeks. However, please note that fulfillment times may be affected by national holidays, materials availability, and other factors.

We strive to deliver your custom-made watch strap as quickly as possible while still ensuring the highest quality. Our team will keep you informed throughout the process and provide updates on the status of your order.

What is your return and exchange policy for custom-made watch straps?

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns, cancellations, or changes to an order once it has been placed. This is due to the nature of custom-made products and the time and effort put into crafting each unique watch strap.

It is important to double-check all details, such as the width of your watch's lugs and your wrist size, before placing your order. We recommend storing your draft order in our store and updating it as needed before finalizing your purchase.

Are your watch straps compatible with all types of watches?

We do not guarantee any compatabilty with all watch brands. If the watch is similar to the one as per our product image- most likely our watch strap will be compatible with your watch.

However, to ensure compatibility, we recommend you to measure the width of your watch's lugs and compare it to the available sizes in our product description. If you are still unsure, you can contact us with the make and model of your watch, and we will be happy to advise on compatibility.

Please note, we are not affiliated with, authorized, or endorsed by any watch brands, and our watch straps are not intended to be used with specific watch brands unless specified. The compatibility of our watch straps is determined by the physical specifications of the watch and not the brand. We are not responsible for any damages that may occur if our watch straps are used with watches that are not compatible.

Who do I contact if I have a problem with my custom-made watch strap?

    Where the products are produced? 

    Majority of our products are custom-made, unique and one of a kind. Most of our watch straps are produced in Finland to order. Some strap models are designed in Finland, while production is handled by our partners in Europe. 

    Where do you ship your products from?

    Orders are shipped from Finland, Helsinki worldwide. 

    How long does it take to produce a watch strap to order? 

    We reserve 1-2 weeks for the custom orders production. However, some orders require more time due to demanding customisations. Moreover, some seasons are more busy than the others and production may take longer than 2 weeks. Kindly contact us in advance in you have an urgent order to find out about current order processing schedule. 

    What shipping options are available to my country ?

    We try to offer the most cost effective solutions for shipping options. We offer standard airmail, DHL, UPS, Deutsche post as shipping methods. In some countries, it is not practical to ship via standard opst services due to significant delays. Therefore, we offer the most reliable carrier services able to deliver worldwide. 

    Why is my order taking so long to arrive

    The provided transit times on our web-pages and Etsy store are estimates only. Actual times vary depending on destination country location (shipping across Europe is faster than overseas), shipping method choice (Express delivery or economy airmail), public holidays, weather events, custom delays, other factors. We appreciate your patience. 

    If your order has not arrived after 6 weeks you have received a dispatching notification, contact us and we will launch investigation process with the delivery company. 

    Why I have not received tracking number? 

    Tracking number is provided depending on the preffered shipping method. We guarantee the delivery of purchased products irrespectively of provided or not tracking number. In case you prefer a free shipping option, longer delivery times may be applied. We appreciate your patience and guarantee the prducts wil be delivered within max 6 weeks to any part of the world. 

    Please note that customers outside of the European Union may be liable for import taxes and customs duties. Please be aware of this before placing your order as these taxes are paid by the recipient of the goods. We reserve the right to charge a handling fee in the case of items being returned to us by the delivery company.

    Privacy & Security

    We are committed to protecting your privacy and we will only use the information that you provide lawfully and in accordance with the General data protection regulation 2016. The Act allows business to collect information for the purposes of advertising, marketing and public relations in connection with their own business activity and for their own accounts and records.

    We only collect information about you to allow us process your order and provide you with the best possible service. The type of information we will collect about you includes: Your Name, Your Address, Your Phone Number and Your Email Address.

    We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

    Returns & Replacements

    Please, note, that item, made to order with your specific size, customizations, and personal specific requirements are not refundable unless made faulty. In case your item is faulty, please, contact us for replacement.

    We want you to be happy with your purchase and you are covered by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If for any reason you feel that the item you have purchased is not suitable, please contact us within 14 days of receipt by email finwatchstraps@gmail.com and return it, unused, for a full refund or exchange. We reserve the right to charge a handling fee in the case of items being returned to us outside of the specified delivery time.

    15% restocking fee is applied on ready made items returns. 

    We do not offer return shipping labels. Returns have to be paid by the sender. 

    The regulations state that a retailer can make a deduction from your refund if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary. The extent to which you can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop.

    Please note that the buyer pays for returning any goods unless they are faulty and as returns are sent entirely at the buyer's risk, please obtain a proof of postage and insurance.

    Refunds and exchanges are processed following receipt of the returned item, please allow 5 working days for this. Please note that we will refund the basic delivery cost, however, if you opted for enhanced service when you placed the order, the full cost of this may not be refunded.
